Draft One Product Case Study

Feedback

The slides require more research and rational text on why I've made certain decisions to the design. I should also show how the logo design and products relate to the target audience, as well as rethink a few things for my indented target audience. Also, the holographic banner product should be rethought into something more obvious like perhaps a website banner.

Improve the posters of the product concepts, add the year and different social media on the poster. Make the 'Casual Audience' poster look stronger and change any spelling mistakes. Create a new concept for 'Hardcore Audience' rather than just have the logo on two different clothing items. Also, write a sentence on each of the target audiences slides on what they want from this product.

Change the slides to keep consistency within all of them, and give each of the products there own slide with some text dedicated to them. Also for the Controller product, move the logo to a different place like on the handle instead so it's not so covered by the controller buttons.

Rationale

For the casual audience I went with child friendly products, since that being that the casual audience is aimed at a younger age demographic of people. For when designing the poster for the audience I kept the fighting games being advertised at a game with a low age rating and better suited. As well as creating a singles and doubles, winner and losers cup to encourage a fun experience towards the younger demographic. For the air sticks they were designed for full entertainment of the target audience, allowing them to cheer on they're friends and competitors with loud noises to ensure on the competition staying exciting. The T-shirt was designed by looking into the popular ways logos and designs are placed on shirts for a young audience, I followed suit with this and made the logo in the centre of the shirt and as big as possible.

For the hardcore target audience I went for the demographic of young adults creating cool and trendy products to interest them. The poster is designed with dark and red colours to catch the viewers eye with interest that serious hardcore audience, as well as displayed the more important information in orange. I tried making the poster look as exciting as possible, displaying a large prize pool with graphics to entice the viewer on what to expect from this competition. The controller was made for the serious gamers, following the same colour scheme as all the products for this target audience, with the use of cool and trendy angular decals on the controller. For when creating the hoodie, I looked into the popular design choice people of this target audience tend to purchase, I went with a small logo on the top right of the hoodie, with a larger one also placed on the back. The choice of the hoodie being black was again aimed for interesting the target audience.
